Work with us

Our ambition is to provide an equitable, just, and inclusive working environment and to promote diversity. We are currently recruiting for several roles at Research in Practice.

We are committed to a working environment where everyone feels safe, valued, and able to thrive. We aim to be respectful and relational in everything that we do, and we are looking for people who reflect our values.

Benefits

We offer a range of family-friendly and inclusive working arrangements such as:

  • flexible working

  • 30 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays)

  • work at home arrangements and hybrid working

  • stakeholder pension

  • training and development

  • enhanced maternity, paternity or adoption pay.

Positive action

We believe that by taking an inclusive approach to our recruitment we are more likely to attract a diverse pool of talent and experience. Appointments will always be made on merit and performance in the selection process; however, we try to take active steps to reduce barriers that some people can face in applying for roles.

We take a 'Positive action' approach to recruitment. Positive action refers to a range of measures and initiatives that we hope can encourage more diversity within the application stage. This includes:

  • Offering an opportunity to meet (including virtually) with a member of the leadership team informally, so that potential candidates can get to know us, our working culture and explore our values.

  • Offering virtual interview and selection processes (or where possible travel expenses) for any shortlisted candidate that might face barriers to attend in person.

  • Offering reasonable adjustments throughout the interview and selection process for any shortlisted candidate that requires these.

If you are a potential applicant and you require something else to help overcome barriers, or you would like to discuss our approach, please contact us. We welcome candidate feedback, and we will reflect, review, and amend our practices based on our learning.

Locations

We have an office in Sheffield City Centre alongside a base in Devon, with additional access to National Children's Bureau offices in London and Belfast. Many of our role opportunities are also offered as remote working.
